The 277, 447, 503 and 532 engines can be found in older production hovercraft, home built hovercraft and imported hovercraft. The CDI version of 447 and 503 is the better engine and the 532 had CDI ignition as standard. In general, avoid engines with Points ignition. The Rotax 582 silver head series engine has been in production for some time.

Hi all, I did a static thrust test on my Himax with a 447 Rotax freeair about 2 years ago. I can't say the scale was super accurate, it was a 300 lb hanging meat scale, but my readings were about 230 lb pull on the scale.
